Today,i've just awoken and it seems to be foggy.My "watch" is about to begin.My job today is on "crows nest"so i'm climbing up on hte mast.This is the 17th day on the Endeavour and we still have a lot of food.I just yelled to my captain to tell him that there is a reef up ahead.He turned the wheel around and the ship turned around.Suddenly my best mate Tim jumped off the ship because of an illusion,he must've thought there was land!Ok the "boy" has said it is our break time

Today I woke up in an uncomfortable position.I've still got scurvy so I had to cut my legs to get the black blood out.My watch group was the first watch of the day.My job was to scrub the dirty,disgusting deck.I felt worn out by the time I finished my watch.The food and water was disgusting.The ship biscuits are so hard sometimes your teeth come out.The water is yellow from sitting in the barrels for too long and sometimes the rats wee in it.It's night time and I have gone to bed.It is sometimes a bit scary sleeping on the deck.

Today is very foggy and I feel very tied. My friend has scury and he feels very sick. 1 hour later. I got the cat-o'-nine-tails, it really hurt!! I got hit 10 times.My Captain is Captain Cook. We have to eat hard ship bvicscuits. My friend died from scurvy. I drank water that is yellow. 2hours later.I just scrubbed the deck. I feel very, very tied.It is neallydark. Suddenly one ofthe sailors thourght that the waterwas land and jumped off the ship!!Igot a big fright when the sailor jumped off the ship.

I woke on a Saturday. My back hurts because of the terrible deak floor. My legs hurt from scurvy, my gums are infected from ship biscut and I don't feel well. I got whipped by the cat-o'-nine-tails,it was the one that has metal that goes to a point. I got marks jobs too. All the food is terrible and it look's like there is a storm coming. This morning I woke up but there is not much food as when we left. The crew and I allate hard ship buscuits. But thatwas when we weren't allowed to be eating at all. But we haden't been eating anything since last nihgt. just then Captain joe came in. luckily my friends, Peter, George, Matt and Toby heard Captain Joe coming and hid under the table. I hid under the table too. When he came in my friend Ben got whipped by the cat-o'-nine-tails whip. Then Captain Joe asked me to go watch for 4 hours on the crows nest. I was so tired after 4 hours I went to bed early. I slept through until the night and there was a storm but everybody was O.K.

Today I woke up on Thursday, it is quite a sunny day, but to me I don't really like sunny days because it makes me all hot, sweaty, gets dirt on us and the dirt sticks to me. My captain is called Captain Jhone, you really dont want to know about him. He is the meanest person alive! Well any way, at the moment I am still he back sore on my back because Captain Jhone wacked me 5 times really hard with a cat-o'-nine-tails.Then I had to do my job and it goes for four hours.Yesterday my best friend died by having too much disgustingfood,having survy and getting hit to many times,so I was really upset about that! When I finished scrubbing the deck I went to tell my friends on board that we should try to get off this bout and lets get on to the other boats. But I failed! Captain Jhone caught me doing it and I had a wack on my back.It really hurt! I was feeling a bit sad and hurt. It was like a snake was biting my back!

Today I woke up & was late for my watch. Caiptain Cook punished me with twenty strokes of the cat-o'-nine tails & he stuck metal on the end. I had cold, red blood running down my sore, bruised, scarred back. It was painful and I was dodging lunch because those ship biscuits are rotten & maggots and rats have been doing their business on them. I eat other sailors dinner. Scrubbing the decks are gross but more fun than other jobs. I hate my living conditons & yesterday I snuck into the captains room, but I got punished badly.

Today I got whipped by the captain on my back and it hurt like crazy!! My back was bleeding all over.All my friends had to watch me get whipped.I was so hungry,so I had to have one of those yucky biscuits!!!! After that I had to do my job. My job is the Crows Nest. It is a hard and easy job sometimes! I have scurvy. Every single day I have to cut the rotten,black blood out with a knife. It hurts!! Now its bedtime and it is cold and rainy and I have no blanket. I hate being on this ship!! But I will get used to it!!!!!!!!!

Today at 5am the whole crew was up on the deck, lucky my watch just started. But one of the crew just got injured. So after he is healed he will be a cook. Four hours later the next watch had started. But Captain Cook told me I should go up to the crows nest and when I got up there I saw a Pirate Ship far far away. But everyone was shouting out PIRATES,PIRATES! But I thought it was miles away but I was looking though the wrong side of the telescope. So the Captain turned the ship around. Now it is night and I ate some fish. On the deck I heard someone getting whipped and then he jumped over board. Now it is 9pm and I am so tired. I have to sleep on the deck.

We are half way and I am so hungry.We have lost all of our good food and we have to eat really hard biscuits that have maggots in them.We also have to eat dried meat and fish.It is night time and we are all going to bed but we have to sleep on the top deck and it is very wavy and Im scared that I might go over board.It is morning and lots of people are getting scurvy.Some sailors are stabbing knves in their legs to get all of the yucky blood out.My job is to scrub the deck to make it nice and clean.Latter on one of the sailors got whipped by the cat-o-nine-tails 100 times. I was happy that it wasn't me. There is a big storm coming and we can see lots of sharks fins. I'm getting tired so I'm going to try to get to sleep.

I was about to get out of the rope that held me to the back of the ship. Oh man I have never been so happy in my life it was so scary. Captain Magellan pulled me back in out of the water.Captain made us scrub the dirty,yucky deck. It smelled worse than our ship biscuits,pee huee!! After that we had lunch which was our ship biscuits,yuck!If you want to know what colour ythe water was it was yellow from rat pee and we had to drink it, yucky!!!My friend Matt died from infected whip marks,oh man it was sad .my other friend joe ncried so he got whippes 9 times. At supper there was a hole in the ship. Oh no i had to fix the hole.Oh no it was from pirates.we escaped.

Magellan ran to get the cat -o-nine tails. Magellan announced to everyone to watch so they came over and whiped me. I went down to be a cook and I cooked a speacial dinner for the captain and went to bed for the night.

Today is a stormy day. The sails are getting ripped and I have to repair them! My scurvy is getting worse and I miss my family dearly. Our captain is whipping my best friend with the terrible cat-o-nine-tails. Earlier this morning for breakfast we got the revolting ship biscuits with rat urine and maggots inside! With so little money I feel like hurling myself off the little,wooden ship. Now I have to get my knife and cut my skin to get all the bad blood out.

Today is Tuesday. It is very cold and windy today. My good freind, who is a sailor ,past away yesterday from scurvy, because of lack of VC and he didn't cut his legs enough. It was pretty sad. One of the ship biscuts cracked my tooth and it fell out. It was hard, it really hurt and there were little maggots in it. Just before I went to get a drik of water my captain said I had to do a job up at the crows nest, but I just wanted a drink. Then before I knew it Christopher Columbus whacked me on the back ten times and it hurt like blazers! So I went up to the crows nest and did my job. It was cold, boring and my back was stinging. I was starving and thirsty. It was not a good day.

I then got 40 lashes by the whip and I can not feel my hands..My mate has scurvy and I had to cut open his leg and the black blood stunck! I have got a ship biscuit made 3 of my teeth fall out.Black blood was pouring out of my leg and I rushed for some water but I spat it out because it was gross!
